Scholarships

Meadowlark offers two separate paths for scholarships / sponsorship support. College students working toward degrees and certification in the nursing field can apply for these opportunities.

Employee Nursing Scholarship

Application Period: January to February 2024

We offer a sponsorship program for current employees who plan to attend a nursing program. Ideally, employees should have worked at Meadowlark for at least six months before applying for a scholarship. Meadowlark awards up to four internal (current employee) nursing scholarships. Amounts given by Meadowlark vary depending on what is awarded by the Kansas Board of Regents; however, each recipient ends up with their nursing program fully, or nearly fully, funded. Interested employees must complete an application, and a committee reviews the applications to determine which employees to interview.

As part of this program, we require recipients to make a commitment to working at Meadowlark. We ask that they commit to one year of service to Meadowlark for each academic year of sponsorship. This helps provide real-world experience on top of the educational assistance. To learn more, contact Human Resources.

Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

In partnership with the Kansas Board of Regents, we sponsor students working toward licensure as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN). The scholarship is administered by the Kansas Board of Regents and Meadowlark can serve as a sponsor, contributing to the scholarship once a student can been licensed. This opportunity is for students who have already been accepted into a program and will not cover any prerequisites.
