Congratulations to Meadowlark's Leader of the Pack for September 2022 is Ace Descuatan, Network Engineer with the Meadowlark IT team. Ace consistently goes above and beyond with his service to both employees and residents. He built many of the technology tools that we use every day to make our jobs easier and more efficient. Ace regularly works extra hours to make sure our systems stay up and available, especially during emergencies. He does all of this with a smile on his face and a kind word. We are thankful to have Ace a part of the team!
Last week, Meadowlark Ambassadors hosted a campus-wide food and hygiene drive to benefit the Blessing Boxes of Manhattan/Riley County.
The drive was inspired by Meadowlark team member Michelle Lawson, who had seen a recent news article that mentioned how numerous Blessing Boxes were turning up empty due to rising food costs and continuing effects from the pandemic.
Congratulations to the Meadowlark’s Leader of the Pack for August 2022 – Mariah Clark, CMA in Bramlage House! Mariah is an outstanding CMA; when she walks into work you know that expectations will be exceeded. Mariah is wonderful with the guests in Bramlage House, and she understands the importance of anticipating their needs. She embodies the customer-service oriented experience that Meadowlark strives to provide. We’re glad to you have you on the team, Mariah!
Meadowlark is holding a coloring contest! Children and grandchildren of Meadowlark Team Members are invited to enter the contest. Only one entry is allowed per contestant. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each category. Blank coloring sheets can be picked up at the Hospitality Desk or the HR office. Meadowlark's Leader of the Pack for July is Calea Miller, CNA in Honstead House! She had not one, not two, but THREE nominations!
Congratulations to Meadowlark’s June Leader of the Pack—Avery Taylor, Prairie Star Restaurant Server! Avery puts a smile on our faces and it is evident how caring, fun, and energetic she is with residents and staff. She makes the atmosphere bright and brings people together. Meadowlark is delighted to have Avery on the team!
Congratulations to Meadowlark’s May Leader of the Pack—Tracey Seales, Home Health Aide with Meadowlark Home Health! Tracey was nominated by a home health client for her caring attitude and expert help. She has a tremendous ability to create conversations, while assisting in giving care. Tracey is a valued member of the Meadowlark team. Congrats, Tracey—we’re glad to have you!
Congratulations to Meadowlark’s April Leader of the Pack—Monica Betzen, CMA in Miller House! Monica is an amazing staff member who is passionate about supporting the Meadowlark mission. She is incredibly reliable and always willing to help out and go the extra mile by filling in for co-workers if they need a shift covered. The residents love when she is here. Monica finishes her work in a timely manner, making it look easy! She always goes above and beyond, and we are thrilled to have her a part of Miller House and the Meadowlark team!
Meadowlark has proudly announced the 2022 Nursing Scholarship recipients: Julie Fowler and Jessica Pagan.
Now in its fourth year, Meadowlark’s scholarship program rewards the initiative of talented current employees, while, in the future, providing Meadowlark’s licensed care households with highly trained staff in a perpetual nurse shortage. Employees who receive a scholarship agree to work at Meadowlark for at least two years following graduation.
Congratulations to Meadowlark’s March Leader of the Pack – Amon “Max” Maxwell, one of our wonderful drivers from Transportation! Max always goes the EXTRA MILE to help others. He has been driving with the Meadowlark Transportation team for over three years. During that time, he has developed friendships with many residents through sharing his caring and compassionate spirit.
